I am wishing each and everyone of you a safe and happy holiday season. I know that it is a true balancing act during this time of year, but do not forget to take a few minutes for yourself. One of my favorite times as a mom was the 10 minutes of peace I managed to grab on occasion. The reason being was that it gave me an opportunity to center myself and reflect on both the good and the bad. Most frequently the good would pop up no matter how tired, frustrated or angry I might have been. An adorable smile or happy giggle would arise to the surface and eventually put a smile on my face.
Please take time to enjoy your December NAWIC meetings! I’ve seen several invites that made me wish I could teleport myself across the west coast. Know that I will be there in spirit and that I’m cheering you on from afar. If your meeting wasn’t posted on the calendar page (4) here it wasn’t out of malice or spite, just that I couldn’t easily find the information. That means, if I couldn’t other potential ladies can’t either. Let’s try to work on improving our visibility next year.
2018 is less than 30 days away! I don’t know about you, but I’m not really ready to move on to another year. Clearly there isn’t anything I can do to stop it, but I will make time this season to ponder what worked well and what I need to change for next year. Please send me any thoughts you may have on how we can improve as a region. I am looking forward to making a measurable difference.
